Timothy Newsom,
Director, Marketing & Communications
Timothy Newsom serves as Director of Marketing and Communications for Capital for Change. In this role, He is responsible for leading branding, marketing, and public relations initiatives that help promote and build brand awareness. He also serves as the Executive Liaison to the Staff REI Committee.
Before Capital for Change, Timothy was the Marketing and Membership Manager at the world
renowned Mory's Association, a Yale University Club dating back to 1849. In this role he was
responsible for planning and hosting a wide range of events, including concerts, talks, special
events, and club history tours. Timothy restructured the club's membership offerings and event
programming through his "Mory's and You," a Yale University DEI initiative, which was highly
successful. Mory's is considered one of the oldest and most prestigious country clubs in the US, and
Timothy's contributions were instrumental in its continued success.
Prior to the Mory's Association - A Yale University Club, Timothy was the CMO and Founder of
Integrated Marketing and Design Services (IMDS). In 2002, Timothy founded Integrated Marketing
and Design Services, a marketing firm specializing in brand development, PR, graphic design,
E-commerce, and technology solutions. Its slogan, "Where Technology Meets the Creative Process,"
reflected the firm's mission and focus on innovative strategies that help businesses grow. Over the
years, Timothy worked with a wide range of clients, including Yale University, Mory's, NAACP,
EveryDay Rachael Ray Magazine, American Express, and DIY TV.
Timothy holds a degree in Business from Charter Oak State College and several Executive Education
Certificates in Digital Marketing, Design Thinking, UX/UI Management, and Strategy. He is Certified Mediator and ADR Specialist who has mediated hundreds of conflicts. He is a co-author of Youth Peer Mediation and Everyday Mediation.
Timothy enjoys being creative and simply spending time with his wife and kids. He attributes his
success to his faith, hard work, and his compassion for people.
